The estates of Glen Oaks has a fascinating history. The land on which Glen Oaks now resides on was known as the "Winter Quarters" for the Barnum & Bailey Ringling Circus training. These grounds are where the circus legacy began, with acrobats, animals, clowns, and other acts that would train and then travel for performances. In 1960, the circus moved these quarters to Venice. 

Glen Oaks is located east of downtown Sarasota, residing on the south side of 17th Street between N Beneva Road and Circus Boulevard. Just east of the residences is the infamous Bobby Jones Golf Course. Glen Oaks contains both single family homes as well as condominiums, along with a recreation center. Prices vary between under $100,000-$300,000+ depending on the type of residence you are looking for.
