On today’s episode of House Match Hot Spots, I visited Kürtos Chimney Cakes for an inside look at this delicious local shop. According to Anico, the co-owner of Kürtos, the store first got its start as a pop-up in various farmers market.

Now that they’ve got a permanent location, they’re able to serve up delicious grab-and-go style treats seven days a week. Having started in 2015, Kürtos is a fairly young, but already very successful small business that is always seeking to expand.

Though they get their namesake from the traditional chimney cakes they’re known for, they also serve cake cones that you can customize with sweet or savory fillings, like vanilla ice cream or chicken salad. Their savory mini-chimney, which comes with a German-style frankfurter, is another great choice.

And if you’re looking for a deal just as sweet as the food Kürtos offers, be sure to drop by for their daily lunch specials from noon to 4 p.m. Their food, made fresh every day, is truly a great meal at an amazing value.

During my recent visit to Kürtos, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to see how their savory chimney cones are made. You can follow along in the video above starting at 3:20 to see for yourself. And if you’d like to see how one of their signature sweet cones are made, check out the clip at 5:15.

I can’t recommend Kürtos highly enough, and now is the perfect time for you to give it a try. If you mention House Match when you visit Kürtos, you can enjoy a 10% discount on your entire purchase. Now that’s a great deal.
