Between Manatee and Sarasota Counties, there are literally dozens of courses for the golf connoisseur to choose from. Here, we have compiled a list of the top 10, and a little bit of information on each.
#10 Boca Royale Golf & Country Club, Englewood- This 18-hole course was designed by Steven R. Smyers, Carter Morrish, and T.A. Anderson and features Champion Ultradwarf greens. Included in this golf club are driving nets, putting green, and even a pro shop. It is comprised of almost 150 acres of gold course greenery, lakes, and nature/wildlife woodlands with hardly any sight of the homes in the community. #9 River Wilderness Golf & Country Club, Parrish- Offering both men and women golf programs in all levels, this course is comprised of 18 holes and par 72 championship layout designed by Ted McAnlis, a well-known architect. It includes an outstanding practice facility with driving nets, practice green for sand shots and chipping green. There are weekly mixed events for members to enjoy as well. #8 Rosedale Golf & Tennis Club, Bradenton- Another championship course designed by Ted McAnlis, Rosedale Golf is comprised of 18 holes as well as a practice facility and men and women locker rooms. #7 The Club Renaissance, Sun City Center- Designed by Chip Powell, this exquisite course has two distinctive nines with a par-72. The course has beautiful water at almost every hole, and meanders through old oaks and a preserve landscape stretching 6.701 yards. For more information call 813-633-1015.
#6 Esplanade Golf & Country Club, Lakewood Ranch- With some of the most breathtaking views, Esplanade's championship 18-hole golf course was designed by award-winning C.W.Golf Architecture and also offers a pro shop as well as outdoor venues. To schedule a tee time call 941-306-3500.

#4 University Park Country Club, University Park- Conveniently located right in between Sarasota and Bradenton, University Park Country Club has been named "Best of the Best" by Sarasota Magazine. #3 River Strand Golf and Country Club, Bradenton- The 27-hole championship course was designed by Arthur Hills and has no short of amaze. The generous fairways paired with the precision approach shots creates the ultimate golf experience. The Manatee River is incorporated into several of the holes along with old oaks and palm trees. #2 Waterlefe Golf & River Club, Bradenton- Designed by Ted McAnlis, this 18-hole championship course also runs along the Manatee River which also creates the ultimate scenic experience.
