This House Match Hotspot is for all the Taco Tuesday lovers out there!
Poppo’s Taqueria originated here on the Gulf Coast of Florida—and it is truly the only Mexican cuisine of its kind in this area. Although Poppo’s started here, the Coleman family was inspired by their Northern California roots. The Mission District Mexican foods, located in San Francisco, is a unique style compared to traditional or Tex-Mex. Poppo’s exceeds all expectations on delivering this California gem to the Sarasota/Bradenton area.
A sweet sentiment about Poppo’s: it is named after the Colemans’ grandfather, whom they lovingly knew as “Poppo.”
All recipes are created in-house and don’t sway from their promise on “fast, fresh, and friendly” eats. House Match Hotspot host and realtor Kendall Williams was lucky enough to taste a few of Poppo’s fan-favorite meal items! (Check out the full interview at the end of this blog). The classic burrito, homemade chips and salsa, and their famous tacos, of course—all of which were prepared with fresh ingredients by one of the owners, Casey Coleman. In Kendall’s words, all of the flavors perfectly complement each other. You can’t go wrong regardless of what you order!
Another noteworthy trait about Poppo’s is how their burritos are prepared. Unlike other Mexican chains, Poppo’s has mastered the art of burrito wrapping. No breakage. No mess. Just delicious burritos you can easily take on the go!
Is your mouth watering yet? Head on down to one of the Poppo’s locations to try one of their tasty Mexican dishes!
